03 Oct 07 Find Company Information on Masterseek

We got a chance to review masterseek.com through BloggerWave and so decided to take a look at it. MasterSeek is a Business Search Engine which allows you to search in their database of more than 45 million countries across the globe. You can search based on companies or products. Here’s what we think of it:
Pros:
  • Very Fast
  • Consistent Results
  • Focused Search

Cons:

  • The free offering is only a little better than Google. To get detailed search information, you need to Upgrade.

Overall, it’s a nice idea and has some potential. They need to make more things free though.

03 Oct 07 Web Hosting Coupons

Coupon Whenever I need to buy web hosting I first, make a list of 3-5 hosting providers and then from that list, I start comparing the various offerings. One very important aspect of comparing offerings is cost.

When considering the cost of a service, one must not forget that there is always the possibility of a discount. Most service providers send coupons to their current customers or to advertising sites for promotion. The best way to get coupons is to look for web sites which aggregate coupon information.

20 Sep 07 ProWorkflow, web based project management tool

I have been a project manager for many years during my professional career and as far as I remember I have been most of the time using applications installed on my personal computer that had to be always with me should I wished to work while not being at the office. Well, today I bring you all a good alternative for all of you, project managers, that love internet-based applications and freedom to work anywhere you are. I am talking about ProWorkflow, a new web-based project management software that promises to make our life easier for small and medium companies, offerting a full range of features for this new PM tool.

I have signed up for one of the free trial accounts they offer to check it out a bit and I have been nicely impressed. Not only you can manage projects, but it comes with a full range of options such a tasks and time manager, contacts, notes, reports, useful links, etc. On the initial screen you get a personal summary of the different sections you may be working in and the status of your tasks/projects. From here you can start fully working on them and easily control your ongoing processes.

The product has been designed by Proactive software, a well known company on the sector, so you know, if you are interested or iIf you want more detailed information just try it out or check out their company website.

05 Jul 07 Flare9, creating a website from scratch

It’s been some time since our last review of interesting applications to help create websites with absolute zero knowledge, from scratch to a nice and good looking personal or professional webpage.

Now, thanks to Sponsored Reviews (this blog profile here :-) , we get the chance to discover a new one that promises to provide even to the most novice user, the possibility to create a professional quality website without having to know any HTML code whatsoever.

We are talking about Flare9, a website builder with an integrated content management system where every page is editable via a simple to use WYSIWYG ( What You See is What You Get ) editor and that will help you provide that very important good image for your business or company on the web ( and we all know how important it is to have a well designed page, don’t you agree? :-), at least I am trying it with this blog , LOL ).

It is actually pretty easy to start the process and make it work, all sum up in a few steps. The sign up of the account will take you only 5 minutes and then you are ready to start building the website. You can select first one of the many themes available for you, and later you can customise according to your preferences. If you do own already a domain you can use it or you can register one via their system, where you have also hosting facilities.

Also, the website packages come with a full set of features that most probably you will be willing to have ( Google Analytics support, management of feeds, integrated blog, control of your meta tags to do some SEO and improve your presence on the net, etc). By getting the whole package here you get the chance to have everything integrated from the beginning. The idea is good, no need to work further to improve the pages you have created, everything comes at once.

So, if you are one of those willing to start your own professional website, with plenty of features and not willing to get a headache in the process, get a look at this service cause it may be interesting for you :-)

29 Jun 07 JustsayHi, and get your new partner

For those who like dating over the internet, making friends online and looking for their soul mate over the sound of a keyboard and a mouse click, you have now a cool place to do so that we have just discovered via Sponsored Reviews. We are talking about JustsayHi., a brand new site where you can met plenty of friends sharing common interests or simply willing to find new people for dating, and, who knows, engage in a serious relationship :-). At least the steps to do so could not be easier, just register in the website, it is 100% free ( which is so far something that makes them different from similar sites like True.com, or a few others), enter some basic info about your profile so you can be contacted ( it takes about 1 min to do it), and well ,start dating!.

The features offered are as good as any paid website of similar purpose, but the idea behind is that everyone should be able to meet new people and date easily without paying anything. Cool, isn’t it? It is all about not being shy at all and be willing to meet thousands of singles waiting for a chance to know you :-), you can really never guess when your half-orange is coming, don’t you? Let me know if you suceed, it will be interesting to read about all your experiences :-).

18 May 07 BT phones, easier now at PCM Telecom

pmc_telecom_header_2.jpgThe guys at PCM Telecom, a well known supplier of BT Phones, have made a complete revamp and redesign of their website, and via ReviewMe we are keen to have a look and check out what new features they have included on it.

Landing on the home page and starting to search for a new phone is as easy as scrolling down the screen, for that they have listed on a series of 15 items per page, the latest models of BT phones available in the market  ( you can choose to display 15, 25, or 30 so to go quicker in your product scanning ). If you budget is what matters here, well, then just sort them out by price, which is what I have done to find out a new but not to expensive phone to replace mine.

Every item has its description page, which is basic to know what you are buying, but as I am not simply convinced for the technical description, I always search on the net for product reviews. It happens that they have a page on their site just for that, although it was not clear to me if they are done by actually customers or by experts  ( some are very simple, some are more detailed).

Anyhow, their stock it is not just limited to phones and the shop has several other telecom categories you can browse: from bluetooth devices, to fax machines or VoIp products. I would say that the new design will fit pretty much the needs of every customer looking for clear info about products before we decide on purchasing anything.
