I am sure everyone knows what Meebo is. However, due to recent enhancements in their offering, we though that it makes a lot of sense to review this excellent service just in case there are people who are not hooked in yet.
Are you tired of your Yahoo Messenger crashing; are you tired of all the junk files that the Live Messenger creates; do you have a problem running 3 different messengers simultaneously? Well, an answer to all these is Meebo. Meebo is a web-based service which allows you to login to AIM, Yahoo, Google Talk, ICQ, Jabber, and MSN all at the same time. So what’s the big deal? You don’t need to install anything on your computer. You can be connected to all your networks from anywhere (not just your own computer). There is no dependency on operating systems, or software. All you need is a browser.
Meebo has an excellent user friendly interface which looks no different than your desktop (maybe better).
It allows good management of your various IM networks. What’s nice is that lately Meebo has added new features to it’s offering converting it to a full fledged IM client. These features are: Voice and Video. Now you can do audio and video chat from a Web Based IM client! That is very impressive. The quality of this is of course not up to the standards such as Skype’s, but it is still pretty good.
So, if you don’t have a Meebo account yet, now is the time to get one.
