20 Feb 07 Picassa Web, looking for images online

It has taken a while, but finally locating images at Picassa web it is now possible :-). If you are a fan of Yahoo’s Flickr service to search photos online from other people, but were using Google’s Picassa to store yours, now you can make public yours and search pics from others that have made public theirs. Confusing? Not, really easy! :-).

Picassa web is now providing its accounts with 1Gb of capacity ( I always wonder where Google stores so much information for all their services) and the only thing you need is a Google account, give the necessary sharing rights to your photos and voila!.

To find pics you just need to enter the keywords you want in the search box and the system will reply with the photos that has been able to find from other users. You can also download and leave comments on the photos, so it is becoming a serious competitor for Flickr, although it is not still as popular. But it is a Google service, so just give it time, what else can we said? :-)
